Abstract:»Phishing« napadi predstavljajo eno največjih varnostnih tveganj za delovne organizacije.

Title:Are Stressed Employees More Susceptible to Online Scams via E-Mail: Mediating Role of Stress and Fatigue : magistrsko delo
Abstract:Phishing attacks are one of the major security risks for working organizations. Despite many advances in the field of cyber security, companies remain vulnerable to phishing attacks, as the provision of cyber security largely depends on employees. Being aware of the factors and mechanisms that contribute to an individual's phishing susceptibility is therefore crucial for successfully preventing phishing attacks. The main goal of my master's thesis was to investigate the relationship between workloads (pace and amount of work, mental workload and emotional workload), work stress, fatigue and phishing susceptibility. 101 participants employed in various professional branches took part in the research. The results of the mediation analyzes showed that fatigue is a statistically significant mediator of the relationship between the pace and amount of work and an phishing susceptibility, and between emotional workload and an individual's phishing susceptibility. Work stress, contrary to what was expected, does not mediate the relationship between the mentioned variables. Two major shortcomings that significantly influenced the research findings are the measurement of phishing susceptibility with the e-mail judgment task and the heterogeneity of the sample. With the research, we have joined modern researches that highlight the need to study the connection between contextual factors, the internal state and the individual's phishing susceptibility.
