V članku smo na osnovi posnetkov v obeh termičnih kanalih satelita Landsat 8 analizirali sezonske spremembe površinskega mestnega toplotnega otoka v Mariboru. Analizirali smo spreminjanje oblike in intenzivnosti površinskega mestnega toplotnega otoka pozimi, spomladi, poleti in jeseni ter ugotavljali povezavo z rabo tal v Mariboru.

Title:Maribor’s seasonal surface urban heat island regime
Abstract:Surface urban heat islands depend not only on global solar radiation but also on the physical properties of the surface and human activity in the city. As a result of construction, the share of built-up areas in Maribor has increased, while the share of green areas has decreased. Several artificial building materials (asphalt, concrete, brick) slightly increase specific heat, resulting in a modified energy balance in cities. In this study, we used remote sensing imagery in both thermal channels of the Landsat 8 satellite to analyse seasonal changes in Maribor’s surface urban heat island. We analysed changes to the shape and intensity of the surface urban heat island in winter, spring, summer, and autumn and studied the connection to land use categories in Maribor.
