Title:Job satisfaction in a state supervisory authority
Abstract:Job satisfaction is crucial for the success and productivity of employees and the organization as a whole. It refers to how satisfied employees are with their job and includes several factors such as working conditions, relationships between colleagues, salary, promotion prospects, leadership style, and motivation. We investigated job satisfaction, identified the key factors that influence it and made recommendations for improving job satisfaction. In the theoretical part, we used secondary sources to discuss the concept of job satisfaction, identify the main factors of satisfaction and explain its meaning. We described in more detail such factors as salary and rewards, working conditions, motivation, position in the organization, employee loyalty, leadership style, empowerment, participation in decision-making and work environment. In our research work, we checked job satisfaction among employees in the Supervising Division of the Kranj Financial Office. For the necessary analysis and research, we conducted an anonymous survey among employees in the oversight sector and interviewed the head of the sector. The analysis of the results showed that the majority of employees in the control sector are satisfied with the current job and are mostly happy to come to work. We also noticed that women are more satisfied than men and that younger employees are more satisfied than others, as well as those who are employed at the Kranj Faculty of Foreign Sciences for a short time. The key factors influencing their job satisfaction were highlighted working conditions, the working environment and mutual relations.
