Abstract:Operacijske medicinske sestre delajo v težavnem okolju (mraz, tema, svetloba) in so izpostavljene mnogim nevarnostim. Ob uporabi laserjev in različnih elektrokirurških naprav nastaja produkt, imenovan kirurški dim. Sestavljen je iz vodne pare (95 %) in iz drugih produktov (5 %), ki so kancerogeni in mutageni. Vdihavanje povzroča tveganje za draženje dihalih poti, prenos okužb in kancerogena obolenja.

Title:Harmful effects of surgical smoke on operating theatre staff
Abstract:OR nurses work in difficult environments (cold, dark, light) and are exposed to many hazards. The use of lasers, various electrosurgical devices produces a product called surgical smoke. It consists of water vapour (95 %) and other products (5 %) which are carcinogenic and mutagenic. Inhalation poses a risk of irritation of the respiratory tract, transmission of infections and carcinogenic diseases
