Uporabili smo podatkovne baze PubMed, Chinal Ultimate in ScienceDirect. S PRISMA diagramom smo predstavili pregled literature. Izvedli smo hierarhijo dokazov. Vključene raziskave smo prikazali v evalvacijski tabeli in naredili smo vsebinsko analizo. Rezultati: Identificirali smo 113 raziskav.

Title:The Importance of Psychological Preparation for Reducing Preoperative Anxiety in Children
Abstract:Introduction: In a child who will be operated on under general anesthesia, pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures are known to reduce preoperative anxiety. The choice of measures is individually oriented according to the child's needs, and good psychological preparation plays an important role. Methods: We made a review, analysisand synthesis of scientific and professional literature. We used PubMed, Chinal Ultimate and ScienceDirect databases. With the PRISMA diagram, we presented a review of the literature. We have implemented a hierarchy of evidence. The included research was shown in the evaluation table and a content analysis was made. Results: We identified 113 studies. We included 7 articles in the final analysis. Research has shown that the use of psychological preparation has a beneficial effect on reducing preoperative anxiety in children. We found that pharmacological measures are most often used for this purpose, although non-pharmacological measures such as music, painting, games, movies, tablet applications, video games or virtual reality also effectively reduce the level of anxiety. Discussion and conclusion: Research clearly indicates that there are no clear guidelines on how to approach preparing a child for surgery. We must be aware of the uniqueness of the individual and adapt to each one. In practice, the use of pharmacological measures is the most common, but we must be aware of their side effects and, when possible, use non-pharmacological measures, as they are equally effective.
