Večino podatkov o njegovem delu je bilo najdenih v njegovem bogatem osebnem arhivu, kjer so zbrani časopisni članki, ocene s tekmovanj in fotografije. Najprej so predstavljeni osnovni podatki o Stojanu Kuretu, njegovem izobraževanju in začetkih zborovodstva in dirigentske poti. V srednjem obdobju njegovega delovanja je predstavljeno delo z odraslimi zbori – APZ Tone Tomšič, Vokalna akademija Ljubljana, zbor RTV Slovenija in mladinski zbor Coro Giovanile Italiano.

Title:Stojan Kuret, the beginnings of his career as a conductor and his work with the Trieste Matica Choirs
Abstract:The master's thesis describes the work of the distinguished mentor and conductor Stojan Kuret, who is the first in the world and the only Slovenian to have twice won the Grand Prix of Europe with two different choirs, and the conductor of the only male choir to have won this award. This year marks the 50th anniversary of his conducting career. Most of the information about his work was found in his extensive personal archive, which includes newspaper articles, competition reviews, and photographs. Additionally, data was sourced from magazines and newspapers, as well as from various online sources. The thesis first presents basic information about Stojan Kuret, his education, and the beginnings of his choral conducting and conducting career. From the middle period of his career, his work with adult choirs is showcased – including the APZ Tone Tomšič, the Vocal Academy of Ljubljana, the RTV Slovenia Choir, and the youth choir Coro Giovanile Italiano. From his current work the thesis focuses on the successes of the Vocal Academy of Ljubljana, the transmission of pedagogical and conducting knowledge to younger conductors, assistance to youth choirs, and various workshops where young conductors are educated. Particular attention is given to the awards his choirs have received at various competitions. The thesis also presents the activities of Glasbena Matica in Trieste, where he began his choral and conducting work and significantly elevated the institution with his contributions.
