Title:Psychosocial support with modern technology for adults who survived childhood leukemia
Abstract:Introduction: Adults who have survived childhood leukemia can experience negative aspects of psychosocial health several years after treatment such as, increased risk of memory loss, emotional regulation, task regulation, social functioning and mental health. The aim of the research is to find out how is modern digital technology connected to the care of the psychosocial needs of adults who have survived childhood leukemia. Methods: In the thesis, we conducted a systematic review of scientific literature. We used a descriptive research method. We searched the literature in the following databases: PubMed, SAGE, ScienceDirect and Cochrane library. Results: In the final analysis we included 8 articles. We found out that modern digital technology can have a positive impact on the quality of life of adults who have survived childhood leukemia. Discussion and conclusion: There are various interventions that we can implement with the help of modern digital technology to help alleviate psychosoical consequences, such as use of the internet, groups on the internet sites, mobile phone, etc. Digital psychosocial help can have a positive impact on the quality of life of adults who have overcome childhood leukemia under certain conditions, if it is adapted to the individual, lasts long enough and if it is efficient.
