Abstract:Uvod: Poškodba zaradi pritiska nastane zaradi dolgotrajnega pritiska, trenja, vlage in drugih dejavnikov, kar je še posebej pogosto pri pacientih v enoti intenzivne terapije. 60,8 % poškodb zaradi pritiska nastane v enoti intenzivne terapije. V Sloveniji incidenca znaša 9,13 %. Namen zaključnega dela je narediti pregled, analizo in sintezo znanstvene literature s področja preprečevanja poškodbe zaradi pritiska v enoti intenzivne terapije. Metode: Izveden je bil pregled literature v podatkovnih bazah CINAHL Complete (EBSCOhost), ScienceDirect (Elsevier), PubMed in Web of Science. V enoti intenzivne terapije so najpogosteje uporabljeni ukrepi preprečevanja poškodbe zaradi pritiska ohranjanje integritete kože, ustrezen prehranski status, intervencije v povezavi z lego pacienta in organizacija dela. Razprava in zaključek: Ugotovili smo, kako svežnji ukrepov bistveno pripomorejo k zmanjšanju incidence poškodbe zaradi pritiska. S pomočjo izbranih člankov smo opisali najpogostejše ukrepe preprečevanja poškodbe zaradi pritiska v enoti intenzivne terapije. Menimo, da so na opisanem področju potrebne nadaljnje raziskave.

Title:Prevention of pressure injury in the intensive care unit: a review of the literature
Abstract:Introduction: Pressure injuries occur due to prolonged pressure, friction, moisture, and other factors, which is particularly common in intensive care unit patients. 60.8% of pressure injuries occur in the intensive care unit. In Slovenian intensive care units, the incidence rate is 9.13%. The aim of this thesis is to review, analyse and synthesise the scientific literature in the field of pressure injury prevention in intensive care units. Methods: A literature search was performed in the CINAHL Complete (EBSCOhost), ScienceDirect (Elsevier), PubMed and Web of Science databases. The flow of the review is illustrated by a PRISMA diagram. A critical appraisal of the quality of the articles was performed using the quality assessment tool and the quality improvement project assessment tool. Analysis and synthesis of the selected articles was performed using the evaluation and synthesis tables. Results: Out of 134 articles, we included 10 articles in the literature review describing measures to prevent pressure injury in intensive care units in order to reduce the incidence of pressure injury. In the intensive care unit, the most commonly used pressure injury prevention measures are preservation of skin integrity, adequate nutritional status, interventions related to patient positioning and work organisation. Discussion and Conclusion: We have seen how significantly bundles of measures contribute to reduce the incidence of pressure injury. Using selected articles, we describe the most common measures to prevent pressure injury in the intensive care unit. We believe that further research is needed in the area described.
