Abstract:Relacijske podatkovne baze in sisteme za upravljanje relacijskih podatkovnih baz (SUPB) je potrebno stalno analizirati in spremljati njihovo delovanje.

Title:An overview of tools for analyzing and visualizing the performance of relational databases
Abstract:Relational databases and relational database management systems (RDBMSs) need to be constantly analyzed and monitored. We want to detect trends in the operation of the database in a timely manner and thus prevent slow and inefficient operation. Analysis and visualization of performances of relational databases can help us a lot in this. There are many solutions on the market that are open source and closed source. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we will describe relational databases, relational database management systems, SQL language, characteristics of relational database performance and present the database and RDBMSs that will be used in the practical part of the thesis. We will also describe and present the analysis of relational database performance and the importance of visualization in understanding the analysis. In the practical part, we will present and compare tools intended for analyzing and visualizing performances of relational databases. When reviewing individual tools, we will be interested in database compatibility, open source or closed source, functions and functionalities, ease of use, the impact of the tool on database performance, scalability, alerts and notifications, support and community, customization, price, integration with other tools and security.
Keywords:relational database, performance analysis, visualization, overview of tools
