Pregledali smo domačo in tujo strokovno literaturo o kakovosti življenja oseb s cerebralno paralizo ter njihovem zadovoljstvu s storitvami osebne asistence. V empiričnem delu smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo.

Title:Personal assistance and quality of life of persons with cerebral palsy
Abstract:Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects an individual's motor functions and can also affect other aspects of life, such as communication, quality of life, cognitive abilities and social interaction. Personal assistance helps them live independent and full lives. The purpose of the final work is to find out what is the assessment of the quality of life of persons with cerebral palsy and the connection between the assessment of the quality of life and the help of personal assistance. We reviewed domestic and foreign professional literature on the quality of life of persons with cerebral palsy and their satisfaction with personal assistance services. We used quantitative methodology in the empirical work. The data collection took place with the help of an online questionnaire, which we sent between April and August 2023. 204 people with cerebral palsy participated. The quality of personal assistance was assessed on average with a high score of 4.42. Most of the participants report prejudices in their environment and highlight the desire for more flexible assistants, better training and greater respect for their profession. There is no statistically significant difference in the assessment of quality of life between physically impaired and non-impaired persons with cerebral palsy, and age is also not related to the assessment of quality of life. The results indicate the importance of further development and improvement in the provision of personal assistance and support the need for greater awareness and flexibility in the treatment of persons with cerebral palsy.
