Abstract:Dandanes se vsak dan srečujemo s takšnimi in drugačnimi nakupi. Načina prodaje sta si podobna in hkrati različna. Zanimivo bo videti, kako bo izgledalo nakupovanje čez 30 let.

Title:Comparing in-store sales with online sales
Abstract:Every day, we are faced with purchases of one kind or another. Even if we are not aware of it, payments and exchanges of goods happen every day. We can follow trends, read advertisements, look for discounts, and be constantly involved in a shopping frenzy. When we hear the word 'shop', most people think of a supermarket or the nearest store. Over time, however, the concept of a shop has spread to the web. Online media has been very useful for consumers with instant and insightful content without the time and space barriers in the virtual world. Because of its ease of use, speed, and reach, online media is changing the public discourse in society and setting trends and agendas in topics that range from the environment and politics to technology and different businesses in industries fast. (Bhat & Jaffer, 2020, str. 1557). As the authors mention, the web has changed the way various industries do business and operate. The same has happened in the field of sales. We are currently living in an era where both face-to-face sales in physical stores and online sales exist. The two ways of selling are both similar and different. Kaur and Kaur (2018) say this about online shopping: “Clicking in one word, thousands of items will pump out on the screen based on choice. No need to wade across a long road and nudge through hustling crowds to get a pair of fancy shoes. Just a click on the keyboard, make the choice and the goods will be delivered, right on the spot. Online shopping has become an increasingly common staple of life in the 21st century.” Whatever the platform, providers want to sell products or services and customers want to buy them. We are interested in the similarities and differences between selling in physical stores and selling online. Both ways of selling will change, complement each other, and create trends over time. It will be interesting to see what shopping will look like in 30 years' time.
