Title:The impact of artificial intelligence on leadership
Abstract:Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a key factor in achieving competitive advantage, as it enables greater efficiency, accuracy, and speed in data processing and decision-making. However, the introduction of AI also brings numerous challenges, such as adapting leadership roles, developing new competencies, and addressing ethical issues like data privacy and the impact on jobs. The purpose of this thesis is to explore how AI affects leadership, identify changes in leadership roles and competencies, and understand how AI is changing the decision-making process. The objectives of the thesis include defining the concept of leadership and artificial intelligence, analyzing the impact of AI on leadership roles, exploring changes in the decision-making process, and examining the ethical challenges of using AI. It focuses on the changes that AI brings to traditional leadership roles, with leaders increasingly delegating routine tasks to AI while focusing on strategic and creative activities themselves. AI enables faster and more informed decisions, but human judgment remains crucial in dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity. The thesis also addresses the ethical aspects of AI use, emphasizing that leaders must ensure that AI operates in accordance with ethical principles, which includes ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in the implementation of this technology. We found that successful leadership in the AI era requires leaders to combine technological knowledge, which includes understanding the basic concepts of AI and data analytics, with unique human qualities such as empathy, intuition, and ethical judgment, enabling sustainable and responsible business practices.
