Title:Distribution pipeline design, analysis and control
Abstract:The master thesis presents the make-up water pipeline that supplies the thick mix preparation system with process water at the Nikola Tesla Thermal Power Plant in Serbia. Currently, the landfill site is subject to harmful substances dissolved in the water that flows from the settling of the lean slurry. The aim of the project is to replace the previous lean slurry with a dense slurry that will have a lower water demand and also a lower ecological impact on the landfill site. The make-up water pipeline under consideration is one of the pipelines that provide process water from the source or the common process water pool to the thermal power plant operation processes. The function of the pipeline under consideration is to pump water from the dredge pit of Unit A3 to the common process water pool. The objective of the analyses was to verify the compliance of the pipeline with the SIST EN 13480 standard, to verify the need for the implementation of expansion joints, and to obtain the loads on the pipeline supports for further studies.
Keywords:Thermal power plant, dense slurry preparation, static structural analysis, compensator, support loads
