Title:Analysis of nonverbal communication of television hosts and the perception among viewers
Abstract:Nonverbal communication accompanies us at every point in life, including during television appearances. In this thesis, we conducted an analysis of the nonverbal communication of television host Oprah Winfrey to understand how she uses nonverbal elements during her performances. This was followed by interviews with randomly selected representatives from four age groups, who answered questions related to the host's nonverbal communication after watching her shows. The purpose of these interviews was to determine the impact of the host's nonverbal communication on the viewers. We found that the majority of viewers positively perceive the host's use of nonverbal communication. Based on the results, we concluded that nonverbal communication in television appearances is important for easier reception and understanding of content. The results of the analysis and interviews will be useful for anyone seeking to understand the use of nonverbal communication in television appearances and its impact on viewers.
