Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava zgradbo in delovanje OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) sistemov s poudarkom na emisijah CO2 in NOx.

Title:Analysis of OBD engine data
Abstract:The thesis discusses the construction and operation of OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) systems, with an emphasis on CO2 and NOx emissions. OBD systems are crucial for vehicle monitoring and diagnostics because they allow one to monitor engine performance and detect faults that can affect pollutant emissions. The thesis also addresses the use of AdBlue, which is used in diesel vehicles to reduce NOx emissions. The system injects AdBlue into the exhaust system where the solution reacts with hot exhaust gases to ammonia, which then reduces NOx emissions in the catalytic converter. The correct use of AdBlue is key to reducing NOx emissions without having a significant impact on CO2 emissions, thereby improving the environmental performance of vehicles. The thesis includes an overview of the components that are crucial for the accurate monitoring of emissions and the proper functioning of the emission reduction system. OBD systems are designed to detect deviations in emissions and trigger warnings or adjustments in engine operation to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. With a properly maintained OBD system and the use of AdBlue, vehicles can achieve optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.
