Za boljše razumevanje specifičnih elementov čustvene inteligence in razvoj učinkovitih intervencij so potrebne dodatne raziskave.

Title:The impact of emotional intelligence in the nursing profession
Abstract:Introduction: Emotional intelligence is a key factor in job satisfaction, particularly in professions like nursing that require intensive interpersonal interaction. This literature review explores the impact of emotional intelligence on the practice of nursing and its effect on the quality of healthcare delivery. Methods: A literature review was conducted, analyzing relevant studies from databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science, with a focus on research published between 2014 and 2024. Data were analyzed, the strength of the evidence was assessed, and the findings were synthesized into a comparative table, allowing for cross-study comparisons. Results: Seven articles were included in the final analysis, indicating that higher emotional intelligence is associated with greater job satisfaction, improved interpersonal relationships, enhanced work performance, and reduced burnout. Nurses with higher emotional intelligence are better at managing stress and communicating effectively. Discussion and Conclusion: The literature review highlights the importance of emotional intelligence in enhancing job satisfaction and reducing burnout among nurses. It recommends incorporating emotional intelligence training into educational programs to improve the work environment and the quality of patient care. Further research is needed to better understand the specific elements of emotional intelligence and to develop effective interventions.
