Predstavi prilagoditev poslovne in IT strategije podjetja, vključno z uvedbo hibridnega dela in novih tehnologij. Teoretični del se posveča definiciji digitalne preobrazbe, njenemu pomenu, koristim in ključnim izzivom. Predstavi metodologijo in orodja za oceno stopnje zrelosti digitalne preobrazbe. Empirični del analizira organiziranost informacijskega oddelka, pregleda digitalno strategijo podjetja in implementacijo digitalne preobrazbe.

Title:Digital transformation in mid size company
Abstract:The master's thesis "Digital Transformation in a Mid sized Company" explores the impact of digital transformation on a company involved in trade and multi-channel customer operations in Central and Eastern Europe. The focus is on analyzing the IT department's organization and its role in achieving the company’s strategic goals through digital transformation. The thesis highlights the significant changes and challenges faced by businesses, particularly following the Covid-19 pandemic. It outlines how the company adapted its business and IT strategy, including the adoption of hybrid work models and new technologies. The theoretical section defines digital transformation, discusses its importance, benefits, and key challenges, and introduces methodologies and tools for assessing digital transformation maturity. The empirical section examines the structure of the IT department, reviews the company's digital strategy, and evaluates the implementation of digital transformation, using a maturity assessment tool to gauge progress. The conclusion acknowledges the company’s advancements in digital transformation but points out areas of dissatisfaction and the need for strategic adjustments. It offers recommendations for improvement and a critical evaluation of the maturity assessment tool. The thesis contributes to the understanding of digital transformation in mid sized companies and provides guidelines for effective implementation and monitoring of digital strategies in the future.
