Abstract:	Logoped-surdopedagog je strokovnjak, ki se ukvarja s preprečevanjem, diagnosticiranjem in (re)habilitacijo komunikacijskih motenj, težav pri hranjenju in požiranju ter obravnavo gluhote in naglušnosti, vključno z njihovimi vzroki in posledicami. Njegovo delo je raznoliko in poteka na področjih zdravstva, vzgoje in izobraževanja ter socialnega varstva. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili ključne vidike logopedije in surdopedagogike, opisali kompetence ter opisali delovanja, možnosti akademskega izobraževanja in zaposlitve. Posebej smo izpostavili problem pomanjkanja logopedov-surdopedagogov v Gorenjski regiji, ki odraža širši državni izziv. Glavni problem, ki smo ga raziskovali, je pomanjkanje logopedov na Gorenjskem in v Sloveniji. Cilj naše raziskave je bil ugotoviti vzroke za ta primanjkljaj ter raziskati načine, kako mlade spodbuditi k izbiri tega poklica, da bi dolgoročno povečali število strokovnjakov na tem področju. Vzorec raziskave je zajemal 13 logopedov, med njimi dve logopedinji iz Razvojne ambulante Kranj in devet logopedov iz drugih ustanov v Gorenjski regiji, ki delujejo v zdravstvu, šolstvu in rehabilitaciji. Z dvema sodelujočima smo izvedli strukturiran intervju, kjer sta predstavili svoje poglede na poklic, izzive in možne rešitve za izboljšanje stanja. Ostalim logopedom smo poslali raziskovalna vprašanja prek elektronske pošte, na katera so odgovorili. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da se ozaveščenost o pomenu logopedov-surdopedagogov v strokovni in širši javnosti povečuje. Prav tako se vse več govori o težavah, povezanih s pomanjkanjem teh strokovnjakov. Pozitivno pa je tudi, da so opazni premiki k povečanju števila logopedov-surdopedagogov tako na regionalni kot državni ravni.

Title:	Speech therapy teams in gorenjska region
Abstract:	Speech-language therapist deals with the identification, prevention and (re) habitation. They are also working with communication disorders, deafness and hard of hearing, eating and swallowing disorders, , their causes and consequences. Speech-language therapist is employed in the social care, education and medical institution. We defined speech-language therapy and surdopedagogy In the theoretical starting points where we described the competences of speech-language therapists-surdopedagogy, described their areas of work, academic path and employment opportunities. We have presented the issue of the lack of language-speech therapists and surdo pedagogues in the area of the Gorenjska region and, consequently, at the level of the country of Slovenia. The problem we have dealt with is the lack of speech therapists in Gorenjska and in the country. The goal of our research is to find out why there is a lack of speech therapists and how to encourage young people to take up this profession and, as a result, increase the number of speech therapists in Gorenjska and in the country. The sample consisted of 13 persons; 2 speech-language therapists from the Razvojna ambulanta Kranj and 9 speech-language therapists from the Gorenjska region working in various spheres from healthcare, education, rehabilitation... We conducted a structured interview with two research participants about their profession as a speech therapist, the problems of this profession and possible or proposed solutions, and we sent research questions to all other speech therapists to their e-mail addresses, to which they replied. The research showed that public as well as lay people are increasingly aware of the speech therapist-deaf pedagogue profession itself and of their importance, there is also more and more talk about the problem of the shortage of speech therapists-deaf pedagogues and there are noticeable movements in the area of increasing the number of speech therapists-deaf pedagogues at the level individual regions as well as countries.
