Abstract:Uvod: SLE je kronična avtoimunska bolezen, ki prizadene različne organe in zahteva stalno medicinsko oskrbo. Metode: Pregled literature je bil opravljen v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL (EBSCO), Medline, Cochrane Library in SAGE z uporabo vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev.

Title:Quality of life of the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus during covid-19 pandemic
Abstract:Introduction: SLE is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting various organs, requiring continuous medical care. During the covid-19 pandemic, patients faced difficulties accessing healthcare services, increased psychosocial burdens, and worsening physical health. This literature review aims to analyze how the pandemic impacted the quality of life for patients with SLE. Methods: A literature review was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL (EBSCO), Medline, Cochrane Library, and SAGE using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Selected literature was analyzed and synthesized. Results: Eight of the 122 identified studies used quantitative methodology, and they were included in the final analysis. The pandemic negatively affected patients' physical health, with increased disease activity, reduced adherence to treatment, and higher hospitalization rates, all contributing to a decline in quality of life. Discussion and conclusion: The review indicates a reduced quality of life for SLE patients during the pandemic due to limited access to healthcare and heightened psychosocial stress. It underscores the need for improved systemic approaches, enhanced telemedicine, and greater support for chronic patients to mitigate the negative effects of future crises on their quality of life.
