Title:Improvement of the packaging of electrical cabinet doors in the selected company
Abstract:In the thesis titled "Improvement of Packaging for Electrical Cabinet Doors," we focused on finding packaging that would provide better protection for products during transport, allow easier handling of semi-finished products at the pick-up location, and optimize cargo space, thereby enabling the transport of a larger quantity of products. At the beginning of the thesis, we summarized the already known theoretical foundations and viewpoints in the field of packaging. The main findings of our research show that using more compact packaging can reduce damage to semi-finished products, which in turn lowers costs due to the write-off of damaged items. The proposed packaging would also ensure greater employee safety, as handling products occasionally leads to injuries due to inadequate protection of semi-finished products in the current packaging. By introducing the new packaging, the company would be able to transport a larger quantity of doors and increase space utilization in the delivery vehicle. It is also worth highlighting the possibility of reusing the new packaging, which is more durable than the packaging the company currently uses. In the conclusion of the thesis, we summarized recommendations for the company, suggesting they implement the new packaging and evaluate whether transport costs, waste material, and damaged product write-offs decrease over a longer period with its use.
