Abstract:	Strategija turizma občine Brežice 2023–2030 je pomemben dokument za nadaljnji razvoj turistične ponudbe v destinaciji Brežice. Razvoj turistične ponudbe je treba načrtovati in imeti določene cilje. Sodelovanje vseh deležnikov turizma v destinaciji je ključnega pomena za razvoj. Raziskali smo turistično ponudbo destinacije Brežice s poudarkom na gostinstvu. Analiza je pokazala, kako je gostinstvo kot pomemben del turistične ponudbe vključeno v strateško načrtovanje turizma občine Brežice. Raziskava predstavlja trenutno stanje sodelovanja med gostinci in Občino/ZPTM Brežice kot tudi načrte za prihodnost. S pomočjo enajst intervjujev z gostinci in predstavnikom ZPTM smo ugotovili vpliv gostinstva na turistično ponudbo in vključevanje gostinstva v strateško načrtovanje turizma v destinaciji.

Title:	Inclusion of the catering industry in the strategic tourism planning of the municipality of Brežice
Abstract:	The tourism strategy of the municipality of Brežice 2023–2030 is an important document for the further development of tourist offers in the destination of Brežice. The development of the tourist offer has to be planned with specific goals. The cooperation of all tourism stakeholders in the destination is crucial for development. We researched the tourist offer of the destination Brežice with an emphasis on hospitality (catering industry or food & beverage sector – F&B). The analysis showed how the hospitality industry, as an important part of the tourist offer, is included in the strategic tourism planning in the municipality of Brežice. The research presents the current state of cooperation between restaurants/bars and the municipality/ZPTM Brežice, as well as plans for the future. With the help of eleven interviews with restaurant representatives and a representative of ZPTM, we determined the influence of the F&B sector on the tourist offer and the inclusion of the F&B sector in the strategic planning of tourism in the destination.
