Title:The meaning of Parent-Coach collaboration in youth sports
Abstract:This thesis explores the importance of collaboration between parents and coaches in youth sports, emphasizing their shared impact on the comprehensive development of young athletes. It highlights the joint effort required to establish a supportive environment that nurtures children's physical, emotional, and social growth. The study examines how effective communication and teamwork between parents and coaches enhance the overall experience of young athletes. Parents play a vital role by providing emotional support, financial assistance, and encouragement, fostering perseverance and a positive attitude toward sports. Coaches complement this by serving as mentors and role models, utilizing their expertise to develop skills, build confidence, and instill discipline. Together, parents and coaches can balance motivation and avoid undue pressure, aligning sports activities with the child's individual needs and goals. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys conducted with parents and coaches across various sports disciplines, the research identifies key factors that strengthen this collaboration. The results demonstrate that effective cooperation improves training quality, enhances motivation, and ensures a positive sports experience for children. The study concludes that a strong partnership between parents and coaches is essential not only for athletic success but also for fostering personal growth and lifelong values in young athletes.
