Title:Psychological support for women with breast cancer
Abstract:Introduction: Breast cancer is increasing worldwide, regardless of how developed the country is. Mental disorders affect the quality of life of patients, their ability to self-care and adapt to treatment. Good communication between a woman with breast cancer and health care staff is crucial to ensuring high-quality care. Methods: In the final part, we reviewed the scientific and professional literature on the topic of psychological support for women with breast cancer. We used a descriptive work method and an additional method of analysis and synthesis. We searched for scientific literature in foreign databases: PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect. Results: We included 10 studies in the final analysis. We found that psychological support for women with breast cancer has been increasingly provided over the years... Psychosocial interventions are as effective as standard medical care and other supportive interventions during the diagnosis, treatment and survival of women with breast cancer. It is crucial that a healthcare professional knows how to recognize signs of psychological fluctuation and that they treat a woman with breast cancer as unique. Discussion and conclusion: It is essential that a woman seeks professional help in a timely manner that can help her in the course of treatment after the discovery of breast cancer, and that she has support from people important to her.
