Abstract:Vsebine s področja elektrotehnike so sestavni del učnih načrtov v različnih razredih programa osnovne šole v Sloveniji.

Title:Design and construction of a learning wall for practical training in electrical wiring
Abstract:Electrical engineering is an integral part of the curriculum across various grades in Slovenian primary schools. At the lower grade levels, pupils are introduced to basic concepts related to electricity. In subjects such as Technology and Technology-related elective courses, pupils engage with more in-depth content in this field. The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Maribor offers programs aimed at training future teachers who will meet the formal requirements for teaching Technology and Technology-related elective courses in Slovenian primary schools. According to the current curricula, these future teachers must have a solid understanding of electrical engineering concepts to ensure high-quality and safe teaching practices. As part of this project, we designed and installed a teaching wall that facilitates learning about various methods of electrical connections. In the first part of the thesis, we analyzed the current primary school curricula to identify learning objectives related to electrical engineering, described the conditions for teaching Technology and Engineering in primary schools, and outlined the programs at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Maribor where future teachers are trained. In the second part, we detailed the process of designing and installing the teaching wall and provided examples of potential exercises for students.
