Abstract:Osebe z ovirami predstavljajo 16 % celotnega prebivalstva, oviranost pa jim povzroča otežen dostop in uporabo spletnih vsebin. Težava nastopi, ko razvijalci ne poznajo pristopov testiranja dostopnosti, WCAG smernic in primernega orodja, zato so v magistrskem delu primerjana testiranja dostopnosti z avtomatskima orodjema Lighthouse in WAVE, programskim Playwright in AI orodjem AccessiBe.

Title:Testing accessibility of web sites with automatic testing tools and a software testing tool
Abstract:People with disabilities represent 16% of the total population whose disabilities make it difficult for them to access and use online content. Developers need to make sure that the content is accessible to everyone regardless of disability. The problem occurs when developers are not familiar with accessibility testing, WCAG guidelines and usage of appropriate tools. For this purpose, we compared in this master thesis accessibility testing with automatic tools Lighthouse and WAVE, programming Playwright and AI tool AccessiBe. We conducted a literature review, obtained accessibility testing results of web pages and made a comparison between them. We also presented an approach for faster accessibility testing setup for developers to use. We concluded that in order to test the web accessibility as efficiently as possible it is recommended to use two or more testing approaches. Additionally, we discovered that AI and programming tools test more elements and have less false results compared to automatic tool.
