Abstract:Magistrska naloga raziskuje pomen ljudskih pravljic v pedagoškem procesu ter stališča učiteljev do njihove uporabe. S svojo preprosto strukturo in ponavljajočimi elementi spodbujajo otroško domišljijo, oblikujejo moralne vrednote in približujejo literaturo, kar podpira otrokov razvoj, kot ga opisuje Piaget. Prednosti pravljic pretehtajo morebitne slabosti, kar nakazuje njihovo trajno vrednost v izobraževalnem procesu. Rezultati raziskave so pomembni za boljše razumevanje pedagoških praks v zgodnjem otroštvu in predstavljajo osnovo za izboljšanje pristopov k uporabi ljudskih pravljic pri pouku.

Title:Attitudes of the first educational period teachers towards the use of folk fairy tales in teaching
Abstract:The master's thesis explores the significance of folk tales in the educational process and teachers' attitudes towards their use. Folk tales are defined as a key part of cultural heritage, transmitting values, moral lessons, and life experiences to younger generations. With their simple structure and repetitive elements, they stimulate children's imagination, shape moral values, and make literature more accessible, supporting the child's development as described by Piaget. The research, conducted through semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers of the first educational period, analyzes their use of folk tales in teaching and their attitudes towards their relevance and challenges in incorporating them into the educational process. It was found that teachers generally have positive attitudes towards folk tales, seeing them as an effective tool for achieving literary goals. They decide on tales selectively, considering content and the age of students, and most often include them as part of the curriculum or as additional activities. The most commonly used methods are discussions, artistic recreation, dramatization, and creative writing, which promote critical thinking, imagination, and active student participation. Teachers mostly observe a positive impact of folk tales on students, while some opinions suggest their neutrality. The advantages of folk tales outweigh potential drawbacks, indicating their lasting value in the educational process. The research results are important for a better understanding of early childhood pedagogical practices and provide a foundation for improving approaches to the use of folk tales in teaching.
