S finančnega vidika so rešitve SIEM v oblaku v primerjavi s tradicionalnimi sistemi lahko bistveno ugodnejša. Model sprotnega plačevanja zmanjšuje potrebno začetniško investicijo in zmanjšuje tekoče stroške vzdrževanja, kar organizacijam omogoča večjo finančno prilagodljivost. Centralizirana narava različnih sistemov v oblaku omogoča celovito spremljanje varnostnega stanja podjetja in poveča zmogljivosti podjetja, da pravočasno odkrije morebitne grožnje.

Title:Cloud integration into the security and information management systems
Abstract:The integration of security information and event management solution into a cloud environment has proven to be a key innovation in the field of cyber security. From a financialperspecive, cloud based SIEm solutions can offer significant advantages over traditional systems. The pay as you go model reduces the initial investment required and reduces ongoing maintance costs, allowing organisations greater financial flexibility. The centralised nature of the various cloud systems allows for comprehensive monitoring of the security posture of the enterprise and increases the company’s ability to detect potential threats in a timely manner. Automated incident response and analytics based on machine learning further strengthens an organisation’s security and reduces the likelihood of human error, consequently allowing organisations to focus their security teams on more important tasks. Unlike traditional systems a cloud based SIEm receives continous updates from the cloud service provider, meaning that organisations are protected from the latest security threats without being responsible for regular updates themselves. However the transtion to a cloud based SIEm is not without its challenges ensuring data integrity and compliance with security standards is critical to the success and operation of an organisation. This makes it even more important for organisations to choose vendors that meet stringent security requirements and that have developed a comprehensive migration strategy including a risk assessment, a data backup plan and a disater recovery plan
