Abstract:Fleksibilna zasnova učnega okolja predstavlja prilagodljiv prostor, ki presega omejitve tradicionalnih učilnic in omogoča individualiziran pristop k učenju.

Title:Design of a flexible learning environment - the case of a new primary school in Velika Nedelja
Abstract:The flexible design of the learning environment represents an adaptable space that transcends the limitations of traditional classrooms and facilitates a personalized approach to education. It fosters creativity, autonomy, and active student participation while adapting to the needs of individuals and communities, making it crucial for modern education. This master’s thesis applies such approaches to the design of a new primary school in Velika Nedelja, replacing the existing school situated in a historic building on a hill. The current facility, due to its spatial and functional limitations and its distance from sports infrastructure on the plain, no longer meets the contemporary requirements of educational activities. The proposed new school is located adjacent to the existing sports hall on the plain, enabling direct access to sports facilities and establishing the school as a local center. The thesis includes an analysis of the school's and community's needs and explores architectural solutions that integrate modern pedagogical demands with local characteristics. The conceptual design of the new building offers a sustainable and flexible space for education and the social life of the community.
