Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali ozaveščenost državljanov Bosne in Hercegovine ter Slovenije o trajnostni embalaži v maloprodaji. Naloga izpostavlja pomembnost trajnostne embalaže za zmanjšanje okoljskega odtisa in spodbujanje krožnega gospodarstva.

Title:Awareness of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia about sustainable packaging in stores
Abstract:In this thesis, we examined the awareness of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia regarding sustainable packaging in retail. The thesis aimed to assess consumers’ familiarity with the concept of sustainable packaging, its benefits, and its environmental impact. In the theoretical part, we defined the functions of packaging, different types of packaging materials, and their labelling. We emphasized the importance of sustainable packaging and the challenges that companies and consumers face in adopting it. In the research part, we surveyed to gather data on consumers’ attitudes towards the use of sustainable packaging. The results showed that there are no significant differences in consumer awareness of sustainable packaging between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, although certain questions revealed statistically significant variations. Nevertheless, the need for further education remains present in both countries. In conclusion, we have proposed measures to enhance awareness and increase the use of sustainable packaging in the retail sector. This study highlights the importance of sustainable packaging in reducing environmental impact and promoting a circular economy.
