Title:Komunikacija medicinskih sester s svojci kritično bolnih pacientov v enotah intenzivne terapije

Abstract:Uvod: Komunikacija je temeljna veščina v zdravstveni negi. Komunikacija s svojci kritično bolnih pacientov v enotah intenzivne terapije predstavlja izziv za medicinske sestre. Namen zaključnega dela je predstaviti elemente učinkovite komunikacije s svojci kritično bolnih ter vpliv komunikacije s svojci na proces zdravstvene nege. Metode: Uporabljene so bile metode pregleda, analize in sinteze znanstvene literature. Za pridobivanje znanstvenih virov smo uporabili podatkovne baze PubMed, CINAHL in ScienceDirect. PRISMA diagram smo uporabili za prikaz poteka procesa identifikacije, pregleda, primernosti in vključitve ustreznih znanstvenih člankov. Zbrane podatke smo analizirali z vsebinsko analizo. Rezultati: Od skupno 259 zadetkov smo v končno analizo in sintezo vključili 12 člankov. Oblikovali smo pet glavnih tem: komunikacija, vključitev svojcev v proces zdravstvene nege, kulturne kompetence v zdravstveni negi, podporne mehanizme ter ovire pri komunikaciji v zdravstveni negi. Razprava in sklep: Učinkovita komunikacija s svojci kritično bolnih pacientov obsega iskreno, odprto, pravočasno in empatično komuniciranje. Takšna komunikacija pripomore k vzpostavitvi in krepitvi medosebnih odnosov ter sodelovanju svojcev v procesu zdravstvene nege ter dviguje raven zaupanja in ugled medicinskih sester.

Title:Communication of nurses with family members of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
Abstract:Introduction: Communication is a fundamental skill in nursing. Communication with the relatives of critically ill patients in intensive care units is a challenging skill for nurses. The aim of this thesis is to present the elements of effective communication with the critically ill patients' relatives and the impact of communication with the relatives on process of nursing. Methods: PubMed, CINAHL, and ScienceDirect databases were used to retrieve scientific sources. A PRISMA diagram was used to show the process of identification, review, eligibility and inclusion of relevant scientific articles. The collected data were analysed using content analysis. Result: Five main themes were developed: communication, involvement of relatives in the nursing process, cultural competences in the nursing, support mechanisms and barriers to communication in the nursing. Discussion and conclusion: Effective communication with relatives of critically ill patients involves honest, open, timely and empathetic communication. Such communication helps to establish and strengthen interpersonal relationships and encourages the participation of relatives in the nursing process, and enhances raises the level of trust and the reputation of nurses.
