Abstract:Uvod: Za ohranitev zdravja in preprečevanje zdravstvenih težav potrebujemo dobro razmerje med telesno aktivnostjo in sedenjem. Metode: Izvedli smo pregled literature s pomočjo iskalne strategije ter vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev v PubMedu, CINAHLu Ultimate in ScienceDirectu. Moč dokazov smo ocenili s pomočjo hierarhije dokazov po Polit & Beck. Rezultate smo predstavili opisno v evalvacijski tabeli. Izvedli smo vsebinsko analizo.

Title:The impact of sitting on the health problems of employees in education
Abstract:Introduction: To maintain health and prevent health issues, it is essential to have a good balance between physical activity and sitting. Sedentary behavior significantly impacts mobility, self-care, and the ability to perform daily activities. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the impact of sitting on health problems in teachers. Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted using a defined search strategy and predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria across PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, and ScienceDirect databases. A content analysis was performed, and the strength of the evidence was assessed using the evidence hierarchy by Polit & Beck. The results were presented descriptively in an evaluation table. We conducted a content analysis. Results: Six articles that met the inclusion criteria were included in the final review. The main finding is that excessive and prolonged sitting negatively affects the health of teachers. The most common issues were found in the lower back, neck, and shoulders, including musculoskeletal pain, deformities, and limitations in performing daily activities. Obesity, advancing age, and the conscious neglect of known ergonomic principles are among the key factors that elevate the risk of adverse health outcomes related to prolonged sedentary behavior. Discussion and Conclusion: Research on the impact of sitting on teachers' health is important, as they are often exposed to sitting due to the demands of their profession. Improvements in the work environment and the use of ergonomic measures have proven effective in reducing health problems associated with excessive sitting.
