Title:Frazemi s poimenovanji za živali v hotinjskem govoru : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Magistrska naloga z naslovom Frazemi s poimenovanji za živali v hotinjskem govoru obravnava živalske frazeme v hotinjskem govoru, ki spada med vzhodnopohorske govore štajerske narečne skupine. V središče postavlja primerjalne frazeme, v katerih nastopajo poimenovanja za živali, zlasti domače in prostoživeče, ter razkriva, kakšno vlogo imajo te živali kot pomenski nosilci v narečnem govoru. Gradivo je bilo zbrano s pomočjo terenskega raziskovanja in nato primerjano s knjižnimi frazemi iz Slovarja slovenskega knjižnega jezika ter Slovarja slovenskih frazemov. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da se manjši del narečnih frazemov delno ali v celoti pomensko prekriva s knjižno različico, medtem ko več primerjalnih frazemov kaže izrazito lokalno specifiko in niso zabeleženi v knjižnih slovarjih. Prav ti frazemi pričajo o živosti in ustvarjalnosti narečnega jezika, ki ohranja prvine tradicionalnega mišljenja in vrednotenja sveta. Poseben poudarek je namenjen prenesenim pomenom, ki jih imajo živali v frazemih – pri tem izstopajo predvsem negativne osebnostne in socialno nezaželene lastnosti, kot so lenoba, lažnivost, trma, pijanost … Pozitivni pomeni, kot sta pridnost ali zvestoba, so redkejši, a vseeno prisotni. V delu so pod drobnogled vzete tudi manjšalnice, ki pogosto izražajo nežnost ali čustveno navezanost in se pojavljajo tako ob domačih kot tudi ob prostoživečih živalih. Namen naloge je prispevati k raziskovanju slovenske narečne frazeologije, ki je še vedno slabo dokumentirana. S tem magistrskim delom smo želeli dopolniti jezikovno sliko slovenskega prostora in opozoriti na pomen ohranjanja jezikovne ter kulturne raznolikosti, kot jo odraža tudi hotinjski govor.

Title:Phrasemes containing names of animals in the local dialect of Hotinja vas
Abstract:The master’s thesis, titled Phrasemes Containing Names of Animals in the Local Dialect of Hotinja vas, studies animal phrasemes in the dialect of Hotinja vas, which belongs to the Eastern-Pohorje speeches of the Styrian dialectal group. The work focuses primarily on the comparative phrasemes for domestic and free-living animal denominations, and examines the role of the animals as the carriers of the meaning in the dialectal speech. The materials were collected by means of field research and later compared with literary phrasemes from the Dictionary of the Standard Slovene Language (SSKJ) and the Dictionary of Slovene phrasemes. We found that a smaller number of phrasemes partially or in full coincide with the literary versions, while the majority of the compared phrasemes exhibit distinct local specifics and are not recorded in any dictionaries of literary terms. It is these particular phrasemes that testify to the liveliness and creativity of the dialectal language, and its preservation of the elements of traditional thinking and valuation of the world. Special emphasis is placed on the figurative meanings that animals have in phrasemes. In this respect, their negative characteristics stand out, especially socially undesirable traits, such as laziness, lying, stubbornness, drunkenness, etc. Positive meanings, such as diligence or loyalty, are rare, yet still present. The master’s thesis further focuses on diminutives, which often express gentleness or emotional attachment and are used in denominations of both domestic and free-living animals. The main goal of this master’s thesis is to contribute to the research of the Slovene dialectal phraseology, since it is still not well documented. It also aims to supplement the linguistic image of the Slovene territory and advise about the significance of preserving the linguistic and cultural diversity, reflected in the speech of the Hotinja vas region.
