Title:Teachers' experience of stress when teaching in combined lower education standard departments
Abstract:The study examines stress among teachers and its physical, psychological, and work-related factors. The results indicate that teachers face various stressors, with the most common being increased workload, lesson preparation, and student assessment. While some teachers experience symptoms such as difficulty relaxing, irritability, and feelings of being overwhelmed, the majority do not suffer from chronic stress or burnout. However, prolonged exposure to stressors can negatively impact educational standards, as fatigue and overload reduce the quality of teaching. Findings show that teachers employ various coping strategies, including careful work organization, physical activity, and discussions with colleagues or friends. A stable organizational culture and effective collaboration also contribute to better stress management. The study did not reveal significant differences in stress perception based on age, years of experience, or level of qualification, suggesting that individual factors play a key role in how stress is experienced. Overall, stress is present among teachers, but most manage it successfully using appropriate strategies. To further mitigate its impact, it would be beneficial to improve work organization, increase access to teaching resources, and strengthen support mechanisms for teachers to reduce the risk of burnout and maintain high educational standards.
