Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava vpliv vključevanja gibalnih aktivnosti v pouk naravoslovja in tehnike v 5. razredu osnovne šole znotraj tematskega sklopa Živa bitja.

Title:Movement Activities as a Tool for Acquiring and Consolidating the Content of Natural Sciences Within the Thematic Area “Living Things” in the Fifth Grade of Primary School During the “Natural Sciences and Technology” Class
Abstract:The master's thesis explores the impact of incorporating movement activities into science and technology lessons in the 5th grade of primary school within the thematic unit Living Things. The theoretical part highlights the importance of movement for children's physical and cognitive development and presents possibilities for cross-curricular integration of Science and Technology with Physical Education. It also provides a more detailed presentation of science concepts included in the Living Things unit. The empirical part analyses movement-based activities conducted by students with pupils in a school setting. Data collected through observation sheets showed that these activities had a positive effect on pupils' understanding of the content, their motivation, and active participation. In addition, opportunities for improvement were identified, particularly time and spatial management. The research confirms that integrating movement into science lessons represents an effective, modern, and holistic didactic approach.
