Dokumentni sistemi v procesu digitalizacije igrajo ključno vlogo, saj služijo predvsem hranjenju različnih vrst dokumentov in omogočajo njihovo distribucijo bodisi znotraj podjetja bodisi izven njega do strank.

Title:Document systems as the foundation for the digital transformation of businesses
Abstract:In today's business world, companies are increasingly relying on digital solutions to improve their efficiency, transparency and responsiveness to fast-changing market conditions. Digitalisation has become essential for companies that want to compete in a fast-changing business environment. Digitalisation brings companies faster business and, above all, fewer mistakes in the workplace. However, it is true, that digitisation of business is above all a major financial as well as organisational burden for companies. Document systems therefore play a key role in the digitisation process, as they are primarily used to store different types of documents and enable them to be distributed either within the company or outside it to the customers. Document systems have been around for about 150 years, but their heyday began with the introduction of digital technologies at the end of the 20th century. There are several types of document systems, depending on the application and the location of installation. Today, there are a number of document system providers in Slovenia, differing in complexity and functionality. Slovenian companies therefore have quite a few choices when they decide to implement a document system. With the development of the document systems we know today, a number of new professions have developed that are needed in companies to make the document system work as it should. In the future, we can expect to see even more of these professions, as artificial intelligence and other innovations are already being introduced into document systems, for which we will need experts. The introduction of document systems requires careful planning on the part of companies, as it also changes the work structure of the company. With the widespread use of document systems, there is a concern about the security of the documents stored in these systems, which is why document systems are equipped with several types of security. However, due to the security requirements, these systems must comply with a number of laws and recommendations from both Slovenia and the European Union.
