Vključene raziskave so bile predstavljene v evalvacijski tabeli, ocenjene z orodjem The Joanna Briggs Institute ter analizirane z opisno sintezo vsebine.

Title:Compassion fatigue in healtcare providers
Abstract:Compassion fatigue (CF) frequently occurs among nurses, particularly those working in emotionally demanding clinical environments. The aim of this systematic literature review was to identify the nursing groups most affected by CF and to determine the key risk and protective factors. A systematic literature review was conducted by collecting data from the PubMed, Web of Science, and CINAHL databases. The process of selecting and excluding sources was illustrated with a PRISMA flow diagram. The selected studies were presented in an evaluation table, assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute appraisal tool, and analyzed through descriptive content synthesis. A total of 14 scientific articles were included in the final analysis. These comprised four systematic reviews with meta-analysis, five quantitative cross-sectional studies, and five narrative reviews and conceptual studies. The findings indicate that compassion fatigue is most prevalent among nurses working in intensive care units, palliative care, and oncology. The review confirms that CF significantly affects nurses, the quality of care, and the functioning of healthcare systems. There is a clear need for targeted interventions and further research to develop effective strategies for the prevention and management of CF.
