Title:Automatic tool changer on a 3D printer
Abstract:The master's thesis describes the development of an automatic tool changer on a 3D printer. The system is assembled from mechanical, electrical and software components. Each component is designed in a modular way, allowing for system adaptability. The system was developed with the purpose of 3D printing models using multiple materials and colors. One of the goals was also to reduce waste material during filament changes and to minimize the time required for the change itself. With the implementation of this system, all set objectives were achieved and the system was used for its intended purpose.
Keywords:3D printing, automatisation, modularity, multi material printing
