Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava problematiko spolnega nasilja med študenti v kontekstu nočnega življenja. To vključuje naslednje predloge: izobraževalni programi in ozaveščanje, podpora žrtvam spolnega nasilja, vloga organizatorjev dogodkov, krepitev komunikacije in sodelovanja med institucijami in spodbujanje kulture spoštovanja in odgovornosti.

Title:Students and sexual violence during night-time activities
Abstract:The thesis addresses the issue of sexual violence among students in the context of nightlife. This is an important aspect of the student experience, as parties and social gatherings are common and often supported by educational institutions as an opportunity for students to connect in a relaxed way. Despite the positive aspects, such an environment brings several challenges. The use of alcohol and other psychoactive substances, peer pressure and lack of supervision increase the risk of sexual violence. Although these risks are widespread, sexual violence in the context of night-time activities is often overlooked by students and not given the same level of seriousness as in other contexts. In my thesis, we analyzed students' perceptions, understandings and experiences of sexual violence through a quantitative online survey and identified important gaps between theoretical awareness and actual behavior. The results confirm that sexual violence is more prevalent in students' nightlife than might be assumed and that there are marked differences between theoretical awareness and actual behavior in concrete situations. In the light of the research findings, it is crucial that clear and effective mechanisms are put in place to prevent and address sexual violence in student nightlife. This includes the following proposals: education and awareness-raising programs, support for victims of sexual violence, the role of event organizers, strengthening communication and cooperation between institutions, and promoting a culture of respect and accountability.
