Abstract:	V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na analizo in pristope k zaščiti REST API-jev v aplikacijah JavaScript s pomočjo smernic organizacije OWASP. API-ji imajo ključno vlogo pri komunikaciji med različnimi sistemi, zaradi česar so vse pogosteje tarča zlonamernih napadov. Podrobneje se bomo spoznali z arhitekturnim slogom REST, ki je eden izmed najbolj pogosto uporabljenih pristopov pri razvoju spletnih storitev. Ključno vlogo igra seznam OWASP Top 10 varnostnih tveganj, na podlagi katerega bomo identificirali in odpravili najpogostejše ranljivosti v spletni klepetalnici, izdelani v programskem jeziku JavaScript. Pri tem bomo analizirali učinkovitost uporabe JavaScripta pri implementaciji varnostnih mehanizmov.

Title:	Analysis and approaches to protecting REST APIs in JavaScript applications based on OWASP guidelines
Abstract:	This thesis focuses on the analysis and implementation of protection mechanisms for REST APIs in JavaScript applications, using the OWASP guidelines. APIs play a key role in the communication between different systems, making them an increasingly common target of malicious attacks. We examine more closely the REST architectural style, which is one of the most frequently used approaches for developing web services. We will use the OWASP top 10 security risk list to identify and address the most common vulnerabilities in a web chat application implemented in JavaScript. When removing vulnerabilities, we will also analyze the JavaScript programming language in the context of implementing effective security mechanisms.
