Abstract:Strateška partnerstva destinacijske management organizacije in gasilskih organizacij – primer Samobora analizira sodelovanje med turističnimi in gasilskimi organizacijami na območju Samobora z namenom zagotavljanja varnosti destinacij in uspešnega upravljanja v kriznih razmerah.

Title:Strategic partnerships of the destination management organization and fire fighting organizations - the example of Samobor
Abstract:Strategic partnerships of the destination management organization and fire fighting organizations – the example of Samobor – analyse the cooperation between tourism and fire fighting organizations in the Samobor area, with the aim of ensuring destination safety and successful management in crisis situations. In light of climate change and the increasing frequency of natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and fires, this article highlights the importance of a proactive approach, with a focus on risk analysis and the development of effective strategic partnerships. Using semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders, an in-depth analysis of the current situation in Samobor was conducted, good practices were identified, and suggestions for improving cooperation were provided. The preparedness of firefighters in terms of training and equipment, as well as their responses to various incidents such as the 2023 storm and the risk of flooding, were examined, along with the preparedness of tourism providers for potential emergencies in their facilities. The objective was to ensure a safe and attractive destination, capable of responding swiftly and effectively to possible challenges, with an emphasis on preventive action and raising awareness of the importance of safety, all supported by mutual cooperation among key stakeholders.
