Abstract:V ZDA so resne težave s sistemskim rasizmom in institucionalno pristranskostjo v središču rasnega profiliranja in policijskega nasilja. Ta stališča so ohranila agresivno policijsko kulturo v organih kazenskega pregona, ki pogosto vodi do uporabe prekomerne sile, nepooblaščenih aretacij in verbalnih zlorab.

Title:Police brutality and racial profiling in the united states of america
Abstract:In the US, there are serious problems with systemic racism, the institutional bias at the heart of racial profiling and police violence. African Americans, who have historically been disproportionately affected by police brutality, with this community making up a significant majority of victims. This tendency stems from the Great Migration, when African-Americans moved into the cities, instilling hatred and fear in white police forces and suspicion of blacks as criminals. These attitudes have perpetuated an aggressive police culture in law enforcement that often leads to the use of excessive force, warrantless arrests, and verbal abuse. These problems are exacerbated by the discriminatory practice known as "racial profiling," which is the targeting of people based solely on their race or ethnicity, rather than any indication of criminal behavior. It has been shown to undermine trust in community cooperation and is common in a variety of law enforcement procedures, including traffic stops and public surveillance. High-profile cases of police brutality, particularly against black people, have sparked nationwide protests and calls for change, underscoring the importance of confronting these structural inequalities. Various profiling is still a big problem in society, despite claims that we live in a "sideways" age. Immigrants, especially those of the Muslim faith, for example, are subject to prejudice and increased surveillance under the guise of national security. Collectively, profiling and police brutality not only violates people's constitutional rights, but also harms public health by having a long-term negative psychological and social impact on the communities it affects. Effectively addressing these interrelated problems requires sweeping reforms to police practices, increased accountability, and a commitment to eliminating the institutionalized racism that underpins American law enforcement.
