Abstract:V sklopu zaključnega dela sem zasnoval konstrukcijo avtomata za sestavo kap taljivih varovalk D01 in D02.

Title:Design and implementation of a machine for automatic assembling of D01 and D02 fuse caps
Abstract:In this thesis, I designed the structure of an automated machine for assembilng D01 and D02 fuse caps. Machine consists of six stations. At each of the stations, I designed one or more manupulators based on a pneumatic cylinder combined with rail or round guides. Each station's left and right side are designed as separate adjustable units. I achieved that by using special adapters, feather keys, grooves and threaded holes. Each manipulator allows for fine adjustment of pick-and-place end positions and is equipped with adjustable mechanical dampers to absorb impact when reacing the end position. The final machine design includes a rotary indexing table where material is fed and both D01 and D02 fuse caps are assembled simultaneously. The main idea behind the design of manupulators was the use of guide rail, which forms the foundation for most manipulators in all the stations, thus ensuring high cycle counts and extended service lifecycle of working components. This thesis also describes the spcific adjustment mechanisms and optimizations made in comparison to the currently operating, older machine in production.
