Abstract:Opekline sodijo med najpogostejše poškodbe na svetu in predstavljajo velik javnozdravstveni problem, saj zahtevajo takojšnjo in strokovno oskrbo. Pregled raziskav smo predstavili z uporabo diagrama PRISMA. Značilnosti vseh raziskav smo predstavili v tabeli. Najpogostejši ukrepi nujne medicinske pomoči pri opeklinah vključujejo endotrahealno intubacijo, aplikacijo kisika, nastavitev intravenske kanile, nadomeščanje tekočin in uporabo analgetikov. Učinkovita prva pomoč in zgodnje strokovne intervencije so ključne za zmanjšanje umrljivosti in izboljšanje prognoze opečencev.

Title:Emergency medical assistance for a burn victim
Abstract:Burns are among the most common injuries worldwide and are a major public health problem, requiring immediate and professional care. Emergency medical assistance (EMA) plays a key role in the initial management of burn victims, with a significant impact on the outcome of treatment and the reduction of complications such as hypovolaemic shock, inhalation injuries and infections. The descriptive method of reviewing scientific and professional literature was used in the thesis. PubMed, Medline and ScienceDirect databases were searched with predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The review of studies was presented using a PRISMA diagram. The final analysis included 8 quantitative studies. According to the hierarchy of evidence, all of them belong to level 5, non-experimental or observational research. The characteristics of all studies are presented in the table below. The most common EMA interventions in burns include endotracheal intubation, oxygen administration, intravenous cannula set-up, fluid replacement and use of analgesics. Effective first aid and early professional interventions are key to reducing mortality and improving the prognosis of burn patients. When burnt, younger people have a better chance of survival. They also have a lower TBSA rate. Limitations of the study include the small number of higher level evidence studies and geographical differences in EMA accessibility. We also recommend more consistent recording of all interventions performed in burn victims.
