Title:Tyre pressure analysis of utility company vehicles
Abstract:Tire pressure has an impact on both road safety and the environment in which we live. This manifests itself mainly in the form of leaching of heavy metals and chemicals in the environment, as well as in the increased amount of emitted CO2. In addition to the safety and environmental impact, there is also the financial aspect of incorrect tire inflation pressure, which represents additional costs, especially for larger companies with a larger fleet. These are caused by major damage to the tire that cannot be repaired, and also affects the safety of all road users. For this reason, more and more companies are appearing on the market, offering solutions for easy and effective monitoring of vehicle tire pressure. The public company Snaga d.o.o. has chosen Continental's ContiConnect Yard solution for tire pressure monitoring, which is particularly suitable for vehicles that regularly return to selected checkpoints. In this case, the data is read using a yard reader. By regularly monitoring the data, the company can take action before tire failures occur, thereby extending their lifespan. Such a solution can also represent one of the measures that contribute to reducing the company's fleet costs.
