Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo se posvetili pobojem, ki so sledili padcu enklave Srebrenica 11. julija 1995. Tem dinamikam do sedaj avtorji niso posvečali večje pozornosti.

Title:A contribution to the understanding of the dynamics of the Srebrenica massacre in july 1995 based on new sources
Abstract:In the master's thesis, we focused on the massacres that followed the fall of the Srebrenica enclave on 11 July 1995. The operation, directed by the leading Serbs from Bosnia and Herzegovina Ratko Mladić, Radovan Karadžić, Radislav Krstić, and others, was carefully planned and subsequently executed, as evidenced by the reviewed archival documents, intercepted radio and telephone communications, as well as the testimonies of survivors and perpetrators. For the purposes of the thesis, we primarily examined newly accessible sources preserved in the Srebrenica Memorial Center Archive in Potočari, along with collected testimonies stored in the Library of the Canton Archive in Tuzla. We also obtained one new testimony and reviewed newspaper material, particularly the newspapers Zmaj od Bosne and Front Slobode, which were published during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but for which no additional information could be retrieved. Furthermore, we utilized published documents and reports, as well as the most relevant scholarly literature. The thesis provides a detailed account of the circumstances in Srebrenica at the time of its fall, as well as on deportations, executions, and mass graves, in addition to the survival of individuals. These dynamics have, until now, received little attention from authors.
