Abstract:V tem diplomskem delu smo obravnavali ključno vlogo ozaveščenosti uporabnikov pri izboljšanju varnosti mobilnih naprav.

Title:USER AWARENESS ON THE SECURITY OF USING MOBILE DEVICES
Abstract:In this work, we focus on the key role of user awareness in improving the security of mobile devices. Devices have become an indispensable part of everyday life, making them increasingly vulnerable to various forms of cyber threats. Despite the increasing presence of warnings and notifications from information security experts, security measures such as encryption, the use of strong passwords, regular software updates, and caution when installing applications from unverified sources are often neglected or used inappropriately. In our work, we examined the relationship between various demographic factors—such as age, level of education, professional orientation, frequency of mobile device use, and geographic location—and user behavior in relation to mobile security. We found that younger users are more likely to engage in risky behavior, while those with higher levels of education or technical knowledge are more likely to take appropriate protective measures. We also assessed the effectiveness of educational approaches, identifying programs that incorporate gamification, interactive approaches, illustration of specific threats, and the use of modern communication channels as particularly successful. Psychological factors such as perceived vulnerability, motivation, and trust in technology, as well as the importance of cooperation between educational and public institutions in spreading a culture of security, are important factors in mobile user security.
