Abstract:Izdelati moramo delujoči krmilni program za vodenje transportnega traku s pomočjo krmilnika Siemens S7-1200 v programskem okolju TIA Portal.

Title:Development of an automated system for control and sorting on a conveyor belt using S7- 1200 and a frequency converter
Abstract:The task involves developing a functional computer program for controlling a conveyor belt using a Siemens S7-1200 PLK within the TIA Portal software environment. The system will be used for transporting and sorting different types of products on the conveyor belt, which will later be connected to a robotic cell for further manipulation. The conveyor will be driven by a frequency inverter, which will allow speed adjustment based on process requirements. The system includes an entry sensor that detects the presence of a product at the beginning of the belt, and a simulation of product type recognition through three push buttons, each representing a different product type (A, B, or C). Based on the identified type, the PLK will calculate the required distance on the conveyor and trigger a stop at a precisely defined location designated for each type. Communication between the PLK and the frequency inverter will be established via a PROFINET connection or, in a simpler configuration, using digital outputs. The system will support simulation of sorting through light indicators (LEDs) and status displays on the control panel/HMI. In the final phase, the system will be prepared for expansion, where a robot will pick up products from specific locations. This will be enabled by additional outputs for synchronization between the PLK and the robotic system. The entire project also includes logic for measuring transit time and calculating travel distance for accurate product positioning, enabling tracking and sorting of three different product types in a simulated environment and analysis of real and theoretical drive characteristics.
