V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni ključni pojmi s področja papirnega poslovanja, digitalizacije in zakonodajnih zahtev. Rezultati potrjujejo raziskovalno tezo in poudarjajo pomen strateškega pristopa k digitalni preobrazbi v visoko reguliranih panogah.

Title:Opportunities and challenges of digital transformation of paper-based business processes in a selected company
Abstract:This thesis explores the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in paper-based operations, using a case study of a pharmaceutical logistics company. The main objective was to determine whether the digitalization of control forms for goods receipt and dispatch can improve process efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce operational costs. The theoretical part presents key concepts related to paper-based workflows, digitalization technologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks. The empirical part includes an analysis of current processes, time measurements, and semi-structured interviews with employees. Based on the findings, a digital solution was proposed, enabling electronic completion, signing, and archiving of control forms. The results show that the implementation of digital forms could reduce costs by more than 20%, while also improving traceability and data accessibility. The thesis also provides guidelines for the successful implementation of the proposed solution and outlines further development opportunities for digitalization within the company. The research confirms the thesis statement and highlights the strategic importance of digital transformation in highly regulated industries.
