Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je obravnava izzivov in razvojnih možnosti vhodne logistike v distribucijskih centrih.

Title:Editing logistics data and goods reception
Abstract:The purpose of this thesis is to examine the challenges and development opportunities of inbound logistics in distribution centres. Special emphasis is placed on three core areas: expanding the use of electronic data interchange with suppliers, implementing a time slot management system, and optimizing the process of preliminary measurements for new products. The analysis of the current situation reveals that delivery schedules are still managed manually, a significant number of suppliers do not use electronic data exchange, and product samples for measurement are often not delivered before the first inbound shipment to the warehouse. As a result, errors occur during goods receiving, and waiting times are extended. The proposed solutions are based on process digitalization, the use of Global Standards One (hereafter: GS1), and enhanced traceability throughout all stages of inbound logistics. Full implementation of electronic data interchange with all suppliers would improve data accuracy, a time slot management system would optimize delivery scheduling, and timely measurements would reduce inconsistencies and improve product handling within the warehouse. By applying the proposed measures, the efficiency of inbound logistics would be increased, costs reduced, and process transparency improved—factors that are essential for ensuring the company’s long-term competitiveness.
