Abstract:Članek se osredotoča na dramo Tango poljskega dramatika Sławomirja Mrožka in na njeno usodo na slovenskih odrih. Čeprav je bila uprizorjena v Beogradu in Ljubljani že v letu 1965, istem letu, ko je doživela krstno uprizoritev na Pojskem, je bila kasneje potisnjena na gledališko margino. Ponovno je prišla na repertoar ljubljanske Drame šele leta 2023. V članku so analizirane posamezne postavitve in kritiški odzivi; ugotovljeno je, da je na usodo recepcije Tanga pomembno vplival Josip Vidmar.

Title:The problematic reception of Tango by Slawomir Mrožek in Slovenia
Abstract:The article focuses on the play Tango by the Polish playwright Sławomir Mrozek and its fate on the Slovenian stage. Although it was staged in Belgrade and Ljubljana as early as in 1965, the same year in which it was first performed in Poland, it was later relegated to the theatrical margins. It re-entered the repertory of the Ljubljanska Drama theatre as late as in 2023. This paper analyses individual productions and critical reactions, and concludes that Josip Vidmar had a significant influence on the fate of its reception.
